On the job training, hands on. As I progressed through my career I learned that I was a better learner through cognitive training. Yes, you can show me how to do this, but I wanted to learn the how, why, what, and anything else behind the scenes. I wanted to know why certain things mattered, and why we did things a certain way. Was there evidence to prove that we were right? Were we doing things because “that’s the way we’ve always done it”? I didn’t want someone to show me how they have been doing it, I wanted to learn what was expected from the outcome and then work to figure it out from there.15/05/20205environmentalscience
