23 February Conclusion Strain measurements were obtained at the top of a cantilever beam. Strain gaugeswere used to obtain these strain measurements. In addition, the Poisson’s Ratio and the modulus of Elasticity of a material were utilized in the cantilever beam. They were from the strain measurements on the beam surface. It was possible to authenticate the measurements for this experiment got from the strain gages using the elementary linear beam theory. The elementary linear beam theory helped in computing the respective theoretical strain values. It is recommended that human errors be avoided. They can be evaded through the utilization of a more accurate measurement of the deflection in the tip.
